Call for a Retraction and Apology by the GC Health Ministries Regarding Barbara O'neal

The Issue

My yearning for healing led me on a journey of transformation. Suffering from ulcers throughout my teenage years and into my early thirties, pharmaceuticals failed to provide relief. However, a change in lifestyle with prioritizing hydration, eliminating heat processed cooking oils, incorporating salads in my meals, and removing all dairy products from my diet following the health message, offered the cure pharmaceuticals couldn't. Within a month of this transition, my ulcers healed and my journey exposed the presence of helicobacter pylori on my stomach lining.

It is personal, then, when the General Conference (GC) of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church's Health Ministries maligned the teachings of Barbara O'neal, discrediting a health-focused lifestyle that does not just improve conditions but completely heals. O'Neal's teachings echo the health message as taught and believed by true Adventists to be from God, one that I and countless others can personally attest to have healed us.

If the statement made by the GC Health Ministries against Barbara O'neal is left unchallenged, it implies that our church will abandon the health message as the right hand of the gospel and adopt a more secular approach to health. Not if, but when.

Thus, we urge the GC of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to fully and unreservedly rescind the statement made against Barbara O'neal and issue an apology. We deserve respect for our personal health journeys and the right to adhere to a health message that we believe comes from God. Real experiences prove its validity and its powerful impact on the lives of genuine Adventists. Stand with us in demanding this retraction and apology for the betterment of our faith and our health. Thanks to my 12yr old son, who designed the poster. He's listened to Barbara and of himself he understands the messages. Sign this petition.
