The Issue

Our goal is to get 600,000+ signatures.

This petition originates from a deeply personal perspective and desire to maintain a stable and thriving Canada. As a passionate supporter of Danielle Smith's approach to the energy sector and a believer in the need for a conservative federal government, I have come to form a strong conviction. I believe that in order for Canada to succeed, Alberta needs the freedom to make its own decisions without tariffs that hinder its progress.

The province of Alberta is a powerhouse in Canada's energy sector. With an approximate 81.8% share of crude oil production and 67.2% of natural gas production as of 2019, Alberta plays a significant role in Canada's economy (Source: Statistics Canada). Yet, legislation and tariffs imposed by the federal government have weakened this sector, hurting Albertans while benefitting other regions.

I propose a referendum to allow Alberta to separate from Canada, and thereby taking control of its own energy resources. By doing so, Alberta can capitalize on its own energy sector, reduce barriers currently imposed by the Canadian federal government, and help maintain Canada's conservative values in accordance with Danielle Smith's plans.

This is far from a call to divide, rather it's an appeal to strengthen Alberta's position and, consequently, to bolster the entire country. Stand with us in demanding a referendum, and join us as we strive to rescue Alberta's energy sector and save the Canada we know and love. Please sign this petition.
