Ferrets have been illegal in California for much too long for too many idiotic reasons. Ferrets are the sweetest, cuddliest, kindest little critters and are no harm to the environment more than cats or dogs. 

One of the main reasons it is upsetting is because they are not illegal in any other state in the U.S., therefore proving it is not an eligible law. People who love Ferrets and living in California should be able to enjoy both of these things together. 

This law is outdated and it’s time for a change. I am very passionate about this and I believe we can make a difference. They are illegal due to the fact that they “are a safety hazard to exotic birds and plants,” which really is not true. Is this law saying that exotic birds and plants are only located in California? I don’t think so. It is unlawful! Time for a change. Please help me make a difference and all of the other ferret lovers in California who want to enjoy this beautiful creature as a pet. Domesticated ferrets are no harm. Please.
