Bluefin everywhere are being overfished and we need to do more about it. The Pacific Bluefin are being overfished in Japan and Mexico, those are the two main catchers of the Pacific bluefin, but California is also a catcher of this decreasing species . The United States is the 3th largest Pacific bluefin catcher in the world, and most of it is coming from California. The Pacific bluefin is one of the four types of bluefin in the world and all of them are endangered due to their high quailty o-toro, or fat. This fatty meat is used in sushi bars all around the world. It is loved by sushi fans everywhere and once the bluefin are gone, fishermen and sushi chefs will lose their jobs, and people will lose their favorite food. Overfishing of bluefin will cause the food web to become unbalanced . We need to act now to stop this. We need to further reduce the number of bluefin we catch and keep worldwide, and temporarily ban commercial fishing of bluefin using nets in California
