The roadway to the prison is in horrible shape.  With 400+ staff members driving the road along with people camping in the desert, the road needs to be repaved.  The potholes are filled and the next day, we have even bigger potholes.  Simply filling the potholes is not working.  Several staff members have ended up with popped tires, bent rims etc. along with broken windshields from the loose rocks flying around.  Some of our staff members regularly work 16 hour shifts.  If they end up with a busted windshield or a flat tire, it extends their day and makes it unsafe for them (and others) to continue their drive home.
