Barkworks purchases puppies from puppy mills that are born into terrible conditions. The mothers are impregnated numerous times a year until they can no longer continue, then many times they are killed. The puppies live in cramped spaces, many times outside in cold conditions. They are sickly and not properly taken care of.

Barkworks sells sick puppies, some even deathly ill, for hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars. These pets can cause sickness in other household pets and suffer through difficult lives.

We are asking ALL CALIFORNIANS to stop purchasing products from Barkworks Pet Stores. No pets, no food, no toys, nothing! Let's send Barkworks a message, we are not going to support their mistreatment of animals.

It is important to stop supporting a business that does not make ethical decisions and promotes inhumane conditions.

Also, we petition the California Governor, State House, and State Senate to pass legislation that stops stores from buying animals from out-of-state puppy mills.
