To start with, there has been close to hundred, or maybe more, lives of people being killed just because of political affiliations/support in this beautiful place of Samar.

I am a real true-blooded Calbayognon/Samarnon and I could not help but fear the lives of innocent people ambushed to death by criminals almost on a daily basis.  This all started in a local election in 1995 when a supporter named Intoy Sauro is abducted and killed by unidentified assailants. From then on the killings had never stopped and just continued to rise especially when election date is approaching.  Several of my family members and friends already been victims of this evil reality.  Their families wandering the dark system looking for justice.  How many more Gerry LLever, Edwin Sim, Dionisio Lungsod, to name a few, will be gunned down just because they have served a life as a Barangay Official or has supported the candidacy of someone or a member of a certain political party.  The entire Calbayognon is aware of this but fear for themselves and their families lingers day in day out. It becomes part of their nerve ignoring gunshots after gunshots. If their constitutional right to join and support a legal organization or political party would bring them danger, how much more their freedom of speech? They surely opt to keep mum or a bullet shall be chasing their foreheads. 

I grew up in this place with wonderful memories.  The calmness of the seas when i used to play in the shorelines of Brgy. Obrero.  The holiness of Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral where I was taught by my Mom to fear God Almighty. The city streets when you can feel the safety at anytime, anywhere.  But all are gone now.  Everything is FEAR that engulf the hearts of my most beloved land.

I ask you to join my cause in stopping this ruthlessness and relive the old place of PEACE and LOVE!!
