Parents in San Andreas, California are worried. They live in a beautiful rural area, but most are living at, or below, poverty levels with jobs hard to find. The children of these families who attend schools in the CUSD need after school care -- but they may soon lose it. School Supt. Mark Campbell has decided not to continue after school care after Dec 2013 even though only $34,000. is needed to keep it funded until June 2014. Parents with kids will have to quit their jobs because no alternatives are available in the area. This is a dire situation. Let's ensure these families' futures and keep their much needed after school program open.
