The Issue

We are AS Level students from Cambridge International (CAIE) schools across the Middle East who sat the June 2026 examination series. Many of us, particularly in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics, received grades far below both our predicted grades and our own performance expectations — in some cases two full grades lower, such as a predicted A dropping to a C.

This is not one or two disappointed students. It is a pattern being reported by students across multiple countries and multiple schools, concentrated heavily in Biology. That pattern is exactly the kind of signal that warrants a formal review, not individual dismissal.

We are asking Cambridge International to:

 1. Publicly investigate whether an error occurred in the marking, scanning, or grade boundary-setting process for the June 2026 series in these subjects.

 2. Where a student’s result is flagged as part of this pattern, provide a full manual remark of the original physical script — not a re-scan of the same digital image, which cannot catch a scanning or processing error.

 3. Waive the Enquiries about Results (EAR) fee for any student affected by this pattern, and extend the EAR window if the investigation takes longer than the standard deadline.

 4. Publish a transparent statement on the outcome of the investigation, whether or not it finds fault.

Thousands of students’ university offers, scholarships, and academic futures depend on these grades. We are not asking for grades to be inflated. We are asking for the marking process to be checked properly, and for students who were genuinely wronged to be fairly compensated with a real remark of their actual paper.
