We want to change the name of Caesar Rodney School District to Harriet Tubman School District. Harriet Tubman represents true freedom, Rodney was a slave owner. We must no longer accept the fate that our children never learn the true history of Caesar Rodney and Black heroes. We must push against the narrative that our sons and daughters must be taught under the shadow of a slave owner and that they must represent a racist, whether that be in sports or academic accomplishments.  We demand a name change of Caesar Rodney School District to Harriet Tubman School District to move forward from racist to Heroine.
