Stop using halal ingredients in your products

Stop using halal ingredients in your products
The Issue
Halal practices are so barbaric that many meat eaters are choosing to boycott and avoid halal products.
Halal meat and by-products involve cutting the throat of an animal whilst it is still alive and without sedation, before leaving it where it lies or hanging it upside down in order to bleed to death.
Cadbury chocolate, a Mondēlez owned company, now use halal gelatin. Halal gelatin comes from a cow that has been slaughtered using the above method.
Halal products are not needed as the vegetarian options allow believers of Islam to maintain a pure faith and vegetarians and meat eaters, who care about humane slaughter, to eat the same products. There is simply no need to allow halal practices to enter the non-meat food industry.
Sign this petition to let Cadbury Chocolate know that you don't agree with them using halal products and that you would like them to stop condoning such brutal and inhumane slaughter practices.
If possible, as well as signing this petition you can make a stronger impact by boycotting Cadbury products.
By refusing to buy Cadbury products you are showing them in a real impacting way that you don't agree with what they are currently doing with their products and to the British chocolate industry. People and businesses listen more when their million pound/dollar income begins to lose even the smallest amount.
One important thing to note is the quote below which is taken directly from the Mondelēz website.
"At Mondelēz International, we believe well-being is holistic. That the health of individuals, communities and the planet are inextricably linked.
That's why we want to create a global conversation centered on the well-being of the world.
Big. Small. Everyone has an idea. Everyone has a voice. We want to use our resources to help amplify those ideas.
Creating a more holistic and connected approach to well-being for a greater global good.
One focused on four powerful pillars: Sustainability, Mindful Snacking, Communities, and Safety.
Every one of us has a voice capable of creating change.
Let yours be heard."
Looking at that statement I have to ask, is the use of halal products, products which are sourced via the inhumane slaughter of animals, good for the holistic well-being of animals?
Is it good for the wider community, especially considering how "inextricably linked" they are?
Does the cutting of an animals throat whilst fully conscious and aware help to promote the "greater global good"?
Large companies like Mondēlez have a voice which can educate both current and future generations on where the line is when it comes to inflicting needless and inhumane pain on another living creature. Especially In the name of non-essential food products such as chocolate.
You and I as a collective have a more powerful voice. We are the many. There are more consumers than there are staff at large corporations, and together we can tell the companies that try to represent our interests that we don't like or agree with their decisions.
We all have the power to change the world for the better.
