Why this petition matters

Started by Isabel Dempsey

Currently Cadbury are still using palm oil from unsustainable sources in their chocolate bars. In a world where we're trying to reduce deforestation and heal our suffering ecyosystems it's not right that the duty should be wholly placed on the consumer. As a major brand and business, Cadbury have the environmental responsibility to use sustainably sourced palm oil in their products. They have the money and the resources to make a change to our world in the midst of this climate crisis. So we need to make them make that change.

Watching nature documentaries, we cry when we see Orangutan scampering from loggers in fear. We weep at the thought of them losing their homes and lives for own selfish benefit. We know its us who should be making the effort to only products that use sustainble palm oil. But that doesn't mean that everybody's going to make that commitment. You can't tell everybody in the world to stop buying Cadbury's chocolate bars - its simply never going to happen. Instead Cadbury can be the ones to make this change.

If you sign this petition you can encourage Cadbury to stop using palm oil grown on deforested ground. To stop encouraging the slaughter of countless vital species and instead encourage a greener, cleaner world.
