Since October 2021, Resolution insurance health card holders have been turned away from hospitals e.g Nairobi hospital, Coptic, Nairobi Women's, Kijabe and others across the country. If this happens to you there is absolutely no protection in Law and certainly you have no immediate recourse because you are ill and require immediate attention for which you have paid a large amount of your hard earned money. It has been absolutely devastating to the victims. The CEO of Resolution went public in December 2022 to inform the public that they were seeking funding through new investors. It is not clear how this helps you when you wish to go for treatment.

Incredibly Resolution continues to collect premiums for services which it is not in a position to render. It is not evident that the Regulator has taken any action and what the action might be. Credible reports are that other service providers dues and even staff salaries remain unpaid.

We demand that the Insurance Regulatory Authority act on the matter Of resolution Insurance as provided by the Insurance Act in respect of an Insurer that is unable to meet its obligations to its policyholder and in any event to immediately stop the collection of health insurance policies which is not a pay-as-you-go scheme but requires existing reserves.

The Kenyan Insuring public must be protected before Resolution goes down with our money!
