Last week I learned that Sutter Health Plus has banned me from EVERY Sutter provider!  My PCP's office in Davis, who was clearly informed that they are NOT to be involved in my cancer care, chose to become involved.  The Sacramento hospital notified them regarding my CT scan (which I later informed them that was not acceptable).  Needless to say, the PCP's clerk (not sure what she calls herself), could not answer who in Sacramento contacted the office, why she was contacting me (as the office was told they aren't oncologists) and who could contact regarding this.

Needless to say, our conversation didn't go well.  I was driving, it was before either Christmas or New Year's.  I had planned on getting a new PCP after the new year.  Instead of being contacted and finding out what happened, they strictly went off this woman's accounting of our conversation and chose to ban me from every provider, facility and yet, they are still collecting premiums!

How is this legal.  Seems having me choose another provider would be the option; not denying a Stage III cancer patient the opportunity to see anyone?  I refused a certified letter (as I don't accept them) and that was apparently my dismissal notification.  Sutter Health Patient Resources REFUSED to fax me the letter.  The woman insisted it could only be mailed certified; which is not true.  She finally agreed to send it regular mail.  Who knows when/if I will receive it.  Someone needs to hold them accountable.
