I had an oncology appointment scheduled for today.  The office called my house (even though the new patient coordinator was given my cell number) and they sent an email cancelling my appointment FIVE minutes before I was to leave (as it's 45 minutes away from my office).

The staff wasn't informed because my "non compliance" issues that I could only see one doctor in the entire office.  I do not willingly see male doctors.  I do not trust male doctors and they had a female doctor available.  The appointment was scheduled for over a week and they wait til the very last minute to cancel it.

Disgusting and unprofessional.  I have no idea where I am in my cancer journey because I can't get a doctor to see me. I can't get a doctor to understand I ALONE am in charge of making decisions regarding my care; they are just there to advise.

So I am non-compliant because I believe in the right to informed consent. Sutter Health Plus and its doctors should be ashamed.  My employer and I pay insurance premiums and they can deny care to those in need.

Truly disgusting and this needs to stop!
