Publicly Quit The U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Publicly Quit The U.S. Chamber of Commerce
The Issue
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is at the forefront of efforts to pass the Internet Censorship Act, which fundamentally threatens the internet as we know it.
As opposition to SOPA/PIPA grows many companies are publicly opposing the legislation. However some of these very same companies are still members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
This petition call upon all businesses who truly oppose Internet Censorship to quit the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
If the bill passes, corporate copyright holders would be able to demand the government shut down a website based on nothing more than an allegation that the website contains copyrighted material. And the government could do this even without a court order. Killing access to sites like Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, reddit, Tom’s Hardware, and indeed any site which provides the opportunity for freedom of speech or expression online.
Companies who oppose the Internet Censorship Act have no business financially supporting the lobbyist at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce who champion the effort to force SOPA/PIPA into law.
We call on all businesses that support innovation and freedom of speech to publicly and financially cut all ties with the U.S. Camber of Commerce and its agenda of Internet Censorship.
