Remove Zach Mottl as Acting Burr Ridge President/Mayor

Remove Zach Mottl as Acting Burr Ridge President/Mayor
The Issue
Zach Mottl as Trustee does not represent the values of the citizens of the Village of Burr Ridge. Until February 8 Mottl repeatedly denied the connection between Sterigenics and elevated cancer rates in and around Burr Ridge. During the February 11 village board meeting Trustee Franzese enumerated multiple dates when Trustee Mottl claimed elevated cancer rates to be connected to factors other than Sterigenics. These include car exhaust, and shockingly, excessive alcohol use by women with breast cancer in Willowbrook.
During the meeting the Village Trustees made a motion to remove Mottl as 1/3 acting Village President because he issued a press release to get an injunction against Sterigenics without Board approval and used the title "Village President." In fact, Mottl had no such board authorization, nor is he the Village President. Trustees stated that this was nothing more than a self serving, aggrandisement, and a politicalization of a serious issue affecting all Burr Ridge residents.
Mottl narrowly escaped a board vote for removal when the village attorney said that such a vote would need to be on the agenda for next meeting.
Moreover, Mottl received extensive criticism from audience participation in light of his misogynist comments about Willowbrook women and being last to the party to go after Sterigenics.
Finally, at the end of the meeting, Mottl once again was asked to keep the Village out of D86 high school affairs. Mr. Mottl is president of the Vote No for the high school referendum which is completely inappropriate for a Village Trustee. If the referendum fails Mottl will own the responsibility for harming the students and property values in Burr Ridge.
In the interest of all Burr Ridge residents, Mr. Mottl should be removed from 1/3 acting Village President, resign his Trusteeship, and immediately cease running for Village President/Mayor.
Please sign and pass this Change.org to as many people as possible so it may be presented at the next Village meeting.
