Burnaby has decided to reduce the number of outdoor Pickleball courts.

The Issue

Burnaby Pickleball players  are thankful to Burnaby Parks and Recreation for the number of shared courts, the nets that are provided and the appropriate locations for the majority of the courts.

However, we have learned that there is a plan to reduce the number of Pickleball courts by 30%. Instead of having multiple courts on each side of the tennis net, there will now only be one on each side of the tennis net. We have yet to receive any justification for this new direction. Confederation Park is first to be re-lined and this will happen in early June.

By adding your name to this petition you are saying that you strongly oppose this decision to reduce the number of courts and ask Burnaby to maintain the current number of outdoor courts.
