Every single African American who has come to me has failed the Psychological Exam. Many people of color have also failed. There are also some who have previously held a CA Exposed Firearm Permit who have reapplied only to be denied after taking the Psychological Exam. These individuals have stated they have no criminal record. Most even currently posses firearms. This effects their livelihoods.  We have growing concerns that this exam is discriminatory.
