Bungie, leave our weapons alone!
The Issue
When Bungie parted ways with Activision, there was much excitement in the Destiny community. We were given hope that a game that we love (which had grown quite stale but we stuck with it) would be brought up once again to a game not only enjoyable but also rewarding. We were promised a new way to play as we want with gear we want to use. Shadowkeep gave us that at launch. We played, collected weapons, armor and had a great time.
Some time later, Bungie decided that we were too good at smashing through the universe they created. Instead of making their world harder for us to conquer they punished us by making our weapons weaker and making us weaker, nerfs we call it. We fight and grind for good gear, Bungie takes it away. Wash, rinse, repeat. Too many times in the history of Destiny 1 and 2 we logged in and found that everything we fought and did the grind for was completely useless. The hours spent and the memories made were for nothing.
The immediate future holds another nerf and the same cycle of taking away what we earned and forcing us to play the game the way they want us to play, a complete 180 from what we were told about playing as we want with the gear we want. What enjoyment can be had from a game with hundreds of weapons but we are forced to use only certain ones and what enjoyment can be had from a game that repeatedly gives the player base great things then takes them away? People do not like having hard earned rewards stolen from them.
The latest is that Bungie is considering a power cap on legendary weapons meaning you will only be able infuse them to a certain light level and that's it. Your God roll Blast Furnace, your ritual weapons or whatever death machine you choose would be completely useless after a set amount of time. All your hours of grinding for that perfect piece of alien splattering hardware will be a complete waste. This is absolutely the wrong way to treat the people that fatten your wallet.
Stand with me and let Bungie know that we are sick of them giving and taking away. Tell Luke Smith that we don't like this, we are sick of being punished for being good at we do. Leave our guns alone Bungie. There isn't a better way to "fix it till it's broke" than what you repeatedly do to the player base that made you. This could be final nail in the coffin for Destiny, I know for sure if these changes happen, myself and many others will be done with D2 and done with Bungie.
