Not because you're wrong. Because the people who should listen have already decided not to.
I've been asking myself a question.
How do you cope when people judge without knowing the whole story?
Not just the committee at the allotment – though they've broken rules, ignored evidence, and turned vulnerable people into villains.
But also the people who see a post, decide they've heard enough, and leave a comment that shows they haven't listened at all.
"Just leave."
"Get another plot."
"You're making a fuss over nothing."
They don't ask questions. They don't read the evidence. They don't wonder why someone who kept quiet for years is now speaking up.
They just judge.
And that's exhausting.
I have Higher Functioning Autism. My brain doesn't switch off. I replay conversations. I analyse every comment. I lose sleep over words that were typed in seconds and forgotten just as fast.
But I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.
Have you ever felt like you're hitting a brick wall?
Not because you're wrong. Because the people who should listen have already decided not to.
How do you cope? What keeps you going when being right isn't enough?
I'd genuinely like to know.
430 people have signed the petition. The evidence is public. The police are involved. The Ombudsman is watching.
But today, I'm not asking you to sign. I'm asking you to tell me – how do you keep going?
