Petition for More Parking Spaces at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley

Dear President Bailey,

We, the students, faculty, and staff of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), respectfully request your immediate attention to address the critical shortage of parking spaces on our campus.

The current parking situation has become increasingly challenging, leading to:

1. Stress and frustration for commuters.
2. Tardiness to classes and appointments.
3. Increased traffic congestion on and around campus.
4. Safety concerns as students rush to find parking.

We urge you to take the following actions:

1. Conduct a comprehensive parking needs assessment
2. Allocate funds for the construction of additional parking facilities sufficient for our large student enrollment rates.

We believe these steps will greatly improve the UTRGV experience for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
