I love playing basketball. Every time I visit my friends' houses, we always head to the neighborhood basketball courts to play and have fun. But there's always one thing I wonder about: why doesn't our neighborhood in Boyds have its own basketball and pickleball courts? Living in the Woodcliffe area, we have a massive baseball field near the pool, but sadly, no courts for basketball or pickleball. Basketball and pickleball are not just games; they are among the fastest-growing sports worldwide. Who knows how much potential is going to waste right now because kids in Boyds don't have a nearby court to practice, learn, and grow? Many families might find it challenging to drive their children to distant locations, hindering their ability to engage in these dynamic sports. Imagine the convenience and joy of our neighborhood kids being able to walk over to a local court. They could enhance their skills, engage with their peers, and gain the physical benefits that sports provide. Additionally, having these courts would make Boyds an even more vibrant and attractive community to live in. I understand that constructing courts may be a financial challenge, however, if our community comes together, we can make it happen.
