There aren't many places designated for skateboarders in Laredo. Sure we have the McPherson park and maybe two others, which is great, I'm grateful to have somewhere to go, as are many other skaters, but they're all outdoors, and Laredo is HOT. 

Sweating buckets and having to constantly take a break to chug a bottle of water so you don't pass out takes away from the experience of skating.

Having the option to go somewhere cooler and air-conditioned during the summer months would be ideal. I think it would not only support the growth of our local skating community, but support the city as well, as i'm sure it would be a popular spot for skaters to go.

It's a long shot but as a community I really do believe if we come together we can make it happen, that's how things get done
