Build a New Community Swimming Pool in Emmett, Idaho

 

For generations, a community pool has been more than just a place to swim — it has been a place where families gather, children learn important water safety skills, and neighbors come together.

 

The loss of our local pool has left a major gap in our community. Each summer, we are reminded of the dangers that can come from relying on rivers, canals, and other natural waterways for recreation. These areas can have unpredictable currents, hidden hazards, and risks that can lead to heartbreaking tragedies.

 

Emmett deserves a safe, accessible place where children can learn to swim, families can spend time together, athletes can train, and residents of all ages and abilities can enjoy the benefits of swimming.

 

A new community pool would provide opportunities for:

• Swimming lessons and water safety education

• Youth programs and activities

• Fitness and wellness opportunities for adults and seniors

• Accessible recreation for residents with disabilities
