Build a skatepark in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania in honor of Gatlin Diehl

The Issue

We deeply mourn the loss of Gatlin, a 12-year-old extreme sports enthusiast, who left us on December 16, 2022. His passion for parkour, skateboarding, scootering and BMX was undeniable and contagious. Gatlin spent his cherished summers at Woodward PA, a haven for youthful athletes like him, and a place that embodied his unfettered joy - a skatepark.

Skateparks are more than a collection of ramps and rails; they're agents of resilience and personal growth. They are places where young individuals like Gatlin escape reality, meet friends, learn new things, and take on exciting challenges. Built right, these parks promote outdoor activity and social participation, elements that are crucial to the overall well-being of our younger generation.

Given that skateboarding has over 16 million participants in the U.S. alone  and its growth as an Olympic sport, we believe that investing in a skatepark will be beneficial both in memory of Gatlin and for the large community of enthusiasts out there.

We call on local representatives and community leaders of Wrightsville, Pennsylvania to make this dream a reality - to create a space that encourages the love Gatlin had for extreme sports and becomes a place that embodies the joy, camaraderie, and spirit of adventure he loved so dearly.

Sign this petition to support the construction of a local skatepark in memory of Gatlin. Let's make it possible for other young enthusiasts to live their dreams, just as Gatlin did. Help us keep his spirit alive through the sound of wheels on the ramp and laughter in the air.
