As a parent of three boys who adore playing roller hockey, our current options are limited. We don't have access to local facilities, forcing us to play in the driveway or on the street. The nearest rink is an inconvenient 25-minute drive each way. This shared experience resonates with numerous families across our community, warranting an immediate need for change.

Construction of an outdoor roller hockey rink at Holicong Park (or other Bucks County Park) would significantly benefit local residents and the larger community. Roller hockey not only promotes physical fitness among the youth but also fosters community engagement. Unfortunately, the absence of accessible infrastructure hinders the growth of this engaging sport in our locality. 

Given the rising popularity of roller hockey, with over 3,000 leagues estimated across the United States (source: USA Roller Sports), it's high time we responded to our community's needs and interests. A locally accessible rink can be a hub for fostering competitive spirit, camaraderie, and community togetherness.
