Our community, like all healthy communities, is made up of various types of residents. Among those are dog owners and their dogs. This community needs a designated area sanctioned by the city where dogs and their owners can play off-leash.

Today dog owners must break the law and let their dogs off leash in order to exercise their pets; or they must use long leashes that can cause a tripping hazard for the dogs and their humans. Also, people who are anxious around dogs may not feel comfortable with dogs running and playing in open fields.

By converting one of the many grassy areas found in the Burbank Neighborhood into a dog park, the whole community can live better together without one group feeling marginalized.
