The Issue

Growing up in Fort Bragg, it's always been a challenge to find local activities that engage our youth in safe and exciting ways. Many local children and families have a passion for dirt biking, but they are often left with limited options. It is disheartening to see them searching for places to ride illegally, simply because there is no designated dirt bike track in our community.

Introducing a local dirt bike track would significantly alter this dynamic, providing a safe, controlled environment for riders of all ages to practice and hone their skills. It would not only grant peace of mind to parents who worry about the illegal riding spots currently used but also potentially reduce accidents and injuries by offering a space specifically built for this purpose.

Statistically, communities with designated recreational areas report lower incidents of illegal activities among youth. Such a facility would serve not just as a recreational outlet but as an investment in the well-being and development of our community's future generations.

Beyond safety and structure, a dirt bike track could also become a lively community hub, drawing families and enthusiasts from all over the region. With the popularity of motocross sports on the rise, Fort Bragg has an opportunity to become a destination for riders, promoting local tourism and business growth.

In collaboration with local executives, businesses, and community members, we can create realistic plans to bring this vision to life. We propose hosting a community meeting to discuss potential partnerships and funding opportunities, ensuring that Fort Bragg has the necessary resources to construct and maintain a dirt bike track for years to come.

Please sign this petition to show your support for developing a local dirt bike track in Fort Bragg, CA. Let's create a safe and legal space for our young riders to pursue their passion while enhancing our community's recreational offerings. We would like to convince the City of Fort Bragg to allow for this project to be on highway 20. This project is supported by PAL of Mendocino coast (Police activities league).
