As a relative of a resident in Elko, Nevada, I see firsthand how our city has become a booming hub over the years, with a growth rate of 10.1% from 2010 to 2022. More families are choosing to make Elko their home, drawn by the promise of a thriving town and the stability of a mining economy. Yet, despite our town’s progress, the lack of a bulk shopping store like Costco is a significant inconvenience to the community. Instead, our families are spending their time traveling over 2.5 hours to another state just to shop in a Costco, with the only large-scale store option in town being Walmart. 

The need for a Costco in Elko has never been more evident as our town continues to grow and evolve. We believe having a Costco will add value to our lives, allowing families to save on time, benefiting from a wider range of options and enjoying affordable bulk shopping right on their doorstep.

Costco has an impressive reputation for providing quality goods and excellent customer service, a positive addition to our expanding city. The presence of a Costco in our town won't only bring convenience, but it's likely to boost local economy, possibly creating job opportunities and enhancing the overall quality of life for us all.

We call on the decision makers at Costco to consider Elko, Nevada as a new location for one of their stores. We are a growing town with strong economic prospects and a community that would greatly appreciate and benefit from the services Costco provides.
