#BudBoycott: Until Anheuser-Busch stops funding debates, or all four candidates can debate

The Issue

Did you know that more than half of Americans want to see more options in the presidential debates? Democrats and Republicans don’t represent all American voters, and there should be more voices on the debate stage than just the two old parties.

America has four major political parties, but two are left out time and time again. Americans want to see more diversity in the debates by including the Libertarian candidate, Jo Jorgensen, and the Green Party candidate, Howie Hawkins. Voters want to hear what the candidates have to say. They want to hear fresh ideas with new perspectives and approaches to solving the problems America faces. It’s time they are given the opportunity to have their voices heard.

Our Request to Anheuser-Busch:
As the longest-running sponsor of the US Presidential Debates, we ask that Anheuser-Busch agrees to publicly encourage and work with the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) to invite all four candidates who have achieved the ballot access threshold that gives them the mathematical possibility of earning the minimum of 270 electoral votes required to win the presidential election.

Should the CPD refuse to change their requirement regarding this qualification by eliminating the “15% in selected polls,” stipulation, we ask that Anheuser-Busch agree to step down as a sponsor from all future debates until such changes are made.

About #BudBoycott:
#BudBoycott is a four-year collaborative grassroots effort from members of the National Libertarian Party, The Green Party of America, and Independent Voters that are working together to improve the US Presidential Debates.
We ask that all ethical consumers regardless of their party affiliation join us in this petition to encourage Anheuser-Busch to do the right thing.
