I am Paul woolmer am profoundly Deaf since birth. 

This morning seeing the post begin delayed consultation to 2023 and teach 2025. Such an excuses. As an Deaf community shall not suffer from those barriers and affect their mental health!? Do you think is ok to keep delaying and we suffer more while Hearing communities are interesting to put BSL in GCSE schools And other things? 

 I believe educational, publics will have their say to FIGHT to speed up than delaying!!

I am totally disagree with this such an political side. BSL is ain’t a LOW PRIORITY!! Is very important language and the living world seeing Deaf communities in the U.K. here for France, Spanish languages? Do we need it in U.K.? Nope. Why should BSL delay that’s language so no excuse to delay. Is about education pupils the language and the culture once school leavers see the real world to see Deaf person? Same other way round Deaf person in real world struggle with hearing because don’t know how etc! 

We all needed a powerful shout out to avoid excusable delaying. I fully stand on my feet to be heard! I went to one of the school in my placement last week link my degree course. I explained to the school why and what am doing this. The Limping Chicken I think I would like to arrange contacts please as I feels my message will be empowering to which I’ve done lately had been successful in my talking and professionals.

I believe this is the moment step forward for our communities to bring together and have the say to Department of education is enough is enough and want to work on in this 21st generation.
