Too many times our children or children of someone we know are victims of Sex crimes and exploitation and it seems like there is no real justice for the victims. Minimum sentences in Indiana are 3 years for molestation of a child depending on circumstances. That is a huge problem in our judicial system. I’m starting this petition to hopefully change those Laws or to at least have a starting point to have laws looked at and changed to have a minimum 20 year to - life sentence for any acts involving Sexual acts with a child . As a minimum sentence of 20 years it would hopefully discourage anyone even thinking of committing a crime against a child as far as engaging in Child sex acts, pornography, Trafficking, Molestation, Rape and Murder. It is my my hope the Indiana State officials I’ve added to this petition see this and strongly consider changing these laws so a Child Predator doesn’t just do the minimum 3 years and get out and re offend. Please help us save our kids.
