Currently the Broward County School District has indefinitely postponed all sports for the reason of the corona virus. Speaking as representative as student athlete, I can say without a doubt that this contraband has effected us deeply for all athletes participating in the current sports. Yes, as we all know this virus is spreading, but as athletes we put our lives on line everyday when we step foot out on the field and/or court, for the sole purpose to be ourselves and have one place where we don’t have to think about the problems in life. For a few hours we don’t have to worry, and taking that away would not only ruin memories for the current seniors participating but also effect so many athletes across the county. Following this band, to some athletes this is all they know and taking that away could cause mental troubles, and we ask our selfs if this was a musician would you take away there instrument simply because there is germs that could potentially leave you with a virus? Most student athletes are physical fit and healthy as they take a physicals every new school year, I can speak for majority of the student athletes and tell you that this virus doesn’t scare us and we would step out on the field any day and do what we know best and play the game. Therefore, I would like I to create a petition to resume all current sports in Broward County.
