Demand Maximum Sentence in Brutal Killing of Dogs

The Issue

Kyle Corbin has been arrested for the second time in three years for the violent, heinous beating of yet another innocent dog. Corbin was arrested in 2017 for stomping his aunt's beloved chihuahua to death and then throwing it in a creek. He tried, at first, to cover it up by telling his aunt that her home had been burglarized (proof that he knew his actions were wrong.) He was sentenced to a very short period behind bars due to his sentence as an 18 year-old adult "youthful offender." His lenient sentence also excluded him from having contact with pets for 5 years.

It has been only 3 years, and in May, at age 21, Corbin was AGAIN charged with beating another innocent pet to death (while under the 5 year stipulation of no contact with pets.) Using metal knuckles, he brutally and viciously attacked a pit bull. Punching her and kicking her while she cried for help and whimpered through her final, painful breaths.

Within three years, Corbin has escalated from killing a small chihuahua to a pit bull. He is a danger to society. Not only to our precious pets, but his escalating aggression will only continue to lead to more violent crimes. He shows zero remorse for his actions. Corbin has proudly pled guilty and is facing just 1-3 years. His sentencing date is December 22, 2020. We demand he is sentenced to the FULL THREE YEARS. (He will also, finally, be added to the Broome County Animal Abuse Registry.) We need to make it clear that violence, in any form, is not tolerated.
