For all the Denver Broncos fans out there (and even just fans of the NFL in general), this has been a very bad year for the Denver Broncos franchise.  The collapse of this team has reached historic levels.  The $250 million "Franchise QB" just threw three interceptions paving the way for a massive blowout.  This so called "face of the Denver Broncos" just lost to the twice rejected Baker Mayfield.  And this is just the latest public display of ineptitude.

At the cost of 2 first and second round picks, as well as multiple players (including beloved Shelby Harris), the Denver Broncos acquired Russel Wilson during the offseason and with him the promise of glory and, at the very least, watchable football.  And because the franchise trusted a self-proclaimed devout Christian man such as Russ, they handed him a $250 mil contract.  But instead what we've received has been nothing more than a lie.  We've been deceived.  Russel Wilson has failed to keep any of his promises and has done nothing publicly to fix or correct this action.  No apology.  No acceptance of blame.  Just week in and week out blank face 'public relation' fed one liner bits.

Russ, let's talk for a moment.  You work hard on your image.  This is public knowledge.  And to be fair, you do a decent enough job to make yourself look like a good person.  And who knows, you might be a very upstanding and godly man.  But for all we know, this is just an act.  You do live in a 12 bathroom mansion after all while stealing from the Broncos organization and its fans.  So it's hard to believe the public facade you put forth.  Russ, if you truly are the godly man you portray, you'll retire.  You'll free the Broncos of the burden of you.  You'll cease stealing from the Broncos.  You'll put millions of fans first over yourself.  As long as you and your contract remain on the roster, you are crippling the team.

Russ, call this your divine calling or divine intervention.  All the fans signing this petition are begging you to do the right thing.  The godly and righteous thing.  We're asking you to please do the right thing and retire.
