Help us change the UK Foreign Office travel advice for Zambia.

The Zambian Government along with the tourism industry in Zambia have implemented COVID-19 Safety Protocols which have resulted in the country being approved by the World Travel & Tourism Council as a “Safe Travel Destination”.  Zambia has low COVID infection numbers and a robust testing regime in place.

Yet the UK government are advising against all but essential travel to Zambia with a quarantine period upon return. 

We are trying to make our voices heard through collective action in order to open up Africa for international travellers.  We want the UK Foreign Office to amend its travel advisory to reflect the current situation and to use the same metrics for Africa as are employed for the rest of the world.  We have launched a campaign - Open African Travel – and we are asking anyone involved in African travel or who has a love of Africa to get behind it.
