Tonight after yet another blow to the case and everyone involved Billy's father wrote this on his son's facebook campagin page. Bring Billy Back. Jim Irving served in the Army, All three of his son's served in the army. He like us all believed that should a british citizen be in danger or held against their will in another country, that the government himself and all of his son's protected and served - would protect and serve them. Hello Everybody, Once again the Indians have destroyed all our hopes, this is what the British Government say is a legal process they cannot intervene in?. On the face of it all that is required by the Indian courts is to rotate the judges when they feel like it which means we (the men and the families and legal team in India) have to start again in trying to set up a hearing for an Appeal and a Suspension of sentence, only to allow the Public Prosecution not to bother turning up, or the courts to take a holiday, or the judge to be rotated and so on and so on!!!!!. Below is the e mail we received tonight from the lawyers once again the indian judicial system is mentally torturing the men and the families., God knows how the men will deal with this when they are told which will probably be the next time someone from UK visits. I ask you all please share this with your M.P's or any contacts you may have in Human Rights etc. It is looking to me as if the British and Indian Governments are working on the premise that if they kick us often enough maybe we will go away, well, NO WE WILL NOT!!!!! Jim Irving (Billy Irving father) email:- Dear All More bad news. It seems that the Judge that heard the case at the beginning of the month has moved on. I don’t know where or why or whether this is coincidence or contrived. We have a new judge. On top of that the indications are that the Public Prosecutor is not going to be available on the 19th October. We will need to get a short adjournment. The application will have to be restarted and again it is hoped that the Judge will be persuaded to listen to the Appeal. Seriously deflating. Sorry to drop that on you all. This remains desperate tale. Regards, Lawyer
