Replace the statue of Edward Colston with a memorial of the people who died at his perish

The Issue

Amongst the peaceful and necessary protests in this beautiful global wave of consciousness in the BLACK LIVES MATTER movement, a statue of a slave trader - Edward Colston - was taken down by Bristolites in UK. This statue of adoration for the horrific man was flung into the water... the same water that many people died in when making their journey to the UK to be sold as slaves.

I feel a better use of this now vacant space that the 18 foot bronze statue used to stand on (since 1895) would be to honour the lives of the people who died on their journey to becoming slaves at his peril.
