Delighted to open the new 'My Village News' October '20 for Clayfield and surrounds to find a lovely update published about the proposed Development Application (DA) lodged with Brisbane City Council to construct a CHILDCARE CENTRE at 46 Bayview Terrace, Clayfield. Thank you 'My Village News' for the additional welcomed publicity.

However the battle is not won yet. The original DA plans may have been 'dashed' but the developers continue to 'delay' the process.

Many are aware, I feel very passionate about this DA as unfortunately this development will significantly affect not only our local community but those who directly neighbour this proposed development. But mostly I am adamant about preserving our unique history and heritage homes in Clayfield.

Sadly if this DA proceeds it will change our Clayfield suburb forever and also it will create increased safety issues for the local community. Although Brisbane City Council have 'not supported' the initial DA plans the process still continues, so we must continue to rally together and use our #peoplepower to support our local village.

In the interim, it is a waiting game unfortuantely to see what the developers next move will be. However the momentum we have gathered objecting this DA is credible. We appreciate the kind words of suppoort, emails and all the lovely folk who continue to sign this petition. Our community is wonderful.  We will continue to make a difference together.
