I have always believed that Waffle House is the last American breakfast diner. It's a place where you can find comfort, community, and classic American breakfast at any hour of the day. Yet, we in San Marcos, TX are missing this essential piece of Americana right on our square.

Waffle House has been serving its customers since 1955 and has grown to over 2,100 locations across 25 states (source: Waffle House). Despite this extensive reach, there isn't one in our beloved town square. This absence not only deprives us of a cherished dining experience but also misses out on potential economic benefits for our local community.

According to a study by Harvard Business School (2019), new restaurant openings can lead to an increase in overall employment rates within their respective regions. Furthermore, having a well-known brand like Waffle House could attract more visitors to our square and boost local businesses.

Therefore, we call upon the city council of San Marcos and the management team at Waffle House Inc., to consider opening a branch right here on our square. Let's bring this symbol of American culinary tradition home - because every good town deserves a great diner.
