Bring Toxic Fume Poisoning on Aer Lingus Flights to Dail Eireann's Attention

The Issue

My life was irrevocably altered by exposure to toxic fumes on an Aer Lingus flight. This personal tragedy has opened my eyes to a larger, urgent public health issue that needs immediate attention. I am not alone in this suffering; there are others who have been similarly exposed and whose lives have been devastated as a result.

Toxic fume poisoning, also known as 'Aerotoxic Syndrome', is a real and present danger on flights. It occurs when heated engine oil or other aircraft fluids contaminate the air supply - an event that can happen on any flight (Source: Aviation Health Institute). The World Health Organization recognizes the potential health risks associated with exposure to contaminated aircraft cabin air (Source: WHO).

In Ireland, our national carrier, Aer Lingus, should be leading the way in addressing this issue. However, it seems they are failing their passengers by not tackling it head-on.

This petition calls upon Dail Eireann, our government house, to urgently discuss toxic fume poisoning on Aer Lingus flights as a critical public health and safety concern. We cannot allow more lives to be ruined due to inaction or ignorance.

Please sign this petition and help bring about change for safer skies over Ireland.
