Bring The Lor Corrupted to League of Legends

Bring The Lor Corrupted to League of Legends
The Issue
Why the Corrupted Skinline Deserves a Place in League of Legends:
Among Riot’s many skinlines, The Corrupted from Legends of Runeterra stands out as one of the most visually and thematically ambitious. With nine champions—Leona, Diana, Pantheon, Taric, Zoe, Azir, Nasus, Renekton, and Xerath—each featuring multiple evolving forms, the skinline explores a dark, twisted narrative of corruption through the influence of Xolaani, the Darkin Bloodletters. The level of detail and storytelling baked into these skins is exceptional, and it’s hard to ignore how well they would translate into League of Legends.
The Gameplay Potential Is Already There:
League has already introduced Exalted skins—cosmetics that evolve as the match progresses. This mechanic mirrors how Corrupted champions transform in LoR, making the adaptation not just possible, but seamless. Riot could easily build a Corrupted/Darkin Exalted skin that evolves based on in-game milestones, echoing the transformation arc from LoR.
Even if not tied to the Exalted system, the skinline could still thrive as a thematic release. Riot frequently drops skin packs of three or more champions, often with a mix of epic and legendary tiers. A Corrupted skin pack—perhaps two epics and one legendary with voice lines—would fit perfectly within Riot’s existing release cadence.
The Lore Is Timely and Relevant:
The recent Trials of Twilight: The Truth comic reintroduces Xolaani and reveals a pivotal moment involving Zaheen, a newly announced champion. In the story, Zaheen defeats Xolaani but chooses to seal himself, fearing corruption. The visual cues suggest he didn’t escape unscathed—hinting at lingering Darkin influence. This narrative thread opens the door for a skinline that explores the aftermath of such corruption, whether through existing champions or new ones.
Riot Has Responded to Community Feedback Before:
The Viktor situation is a prime example. When Riot’s visual rework of Viktor received backlash, the community rallied, and Riot responded with Machine Herald Viktor—a skin that honored his original design and was gifted to dedicated players. It proved that when the community speaks with clarity and unity, Riot listens.
This Petition Is About Raising Awareness:
We’re not demanding a carbon copy of the LoR skins. We’re asking Riot to recognize the potential of this theme and consider adapting it for League—whether through the same champions or others who fit the Darkin aesthetic. The goal is to show that there’s genuine interest, and that this isn’t just a niche request.
If enough players come together, we can make this visible. Share this with friends, fellow mains, and anyone who appreciates deep lore and transformative skin design. Riot has shown they’re willing to listen. Let’s give them something worth hearing. #LoRCorrupted on Twitter/X to spread the word.
