Bring the Congressional App Challenge to Texas’s 3rd Congressional District!
The Issue
To Congressman Keith Self:
We, the undersigned constituents, parents, educators, and community members of Texas’s 3rd Congressional District, urge Congressman Keith Self’s office to officially register TX-03 to host the Congressional App Challenge.
The Congressional App Challenge is an official initiative hosted by the U.S. House of Representatives to encourage middle and high school students to explore computer science, software development, and STEM fields. Winning student apps earn national recognition and are even displayed in the U.S. Capitol building.
Collin County is home to some of the brightest young minds and growing technology hubs in the country. Our local students deserve the exact same access to this official congressional STEM program that students in neighboring districts receive.
Why this matters right now:
Deadlines: Members of Congress must officially register their district by September 15 for local students to participate.
Youth Leadership: Participating in national STEM challenges opens doors to college admissions, career development, and real-world innovation.
Active Representation: Regardless of future map updates or district shifts, our community relies on active representation today to ensure our kids don't miss out on nationwide student programs.
We ask Congressman Keith Self to support the youth of TX-03, foster innovation in our community, and complete the official district registration before the September 15 deadline.
