The Issue

A Modern Transportation Option for Our Growing City

Petition to the City of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and shared mobility companies including Lime and Bird

Fayetteville is a growing, vibrant city filled with residents, students, military families, visitors, and local businesses. Yet we are missing a convenient, affordable, and modern transportation option that many cities across the country already enjoy: shared electric scooters.

We are calling on the City of Fayetteville and scooter companies to work together to launch a safe, responsible, and well-managed e-scooter pilot program.

Why Fayetteville Needs Shared Scooters

🛴 More transportation choices
Scooters would give residents and visitors an easy way to travel short distances without needing a car.

🏙️ Support our local economy
Scooters could make it easier for people to visit downtown businesses, restaurants, shops, parks, and events.

🎓 Benefit students and military families
Students and military community members would have another affordable option for getting around the city.

🎉 Enhance events and tourism
From downtown gatherings to festivals and community celebrations, scooters could help visitors explore more of what Fayetteville has to offer.

🌎 Encourage sustainable travel
Electric scooters can provide a low-emission alternative for some short trips.

Our Request

We respectfully ask the City of Fayetteville to:

• Explore a shared e-scooter pilot program.
• Meet with scooter providers such as Lime and Bird.
• Develop clear safety, parking, and operating guidelines.
• Engage the community to determine the best locations for scooter access.

We also ask scooter companies to consider Fayetteville as a future expansion market and to work with local leaders to bring this service to our city.

Fayetteville is ready for more transportation options, more convenience, and a more connected community.

Sign this petition if you believe Fayetteville should roll into the future with shared electric scooters.

Together, our voices can show that there is real community demand for this opportunity.
