Bring Official Servers to Oceania for Holdfast: Nations at War
The issue
Holdfast: Nations at War is an incredible multiplayer experience – but only if you can actually play it with reasonable ping. For players in the Oceania (OCE) region, there are currently no official Holdfast servers, leaving us with no choice but to connect to overseas servers with poor ping that makes the game frustrating and unfun.
We're paying customers who deserve access to the game we purchased.
The OCE Holdfast community is passionate and dedicated, but we're being left behind. We run organized line battles three times per week on unofficial community servers – proof that there's an active, engaged player base in OCE. Despite our commitment to the game, we're forced to play on limited-functionality servers or suffer through high-ping connections to overseas servers.
We understand that maintaining official servers involves ongoing costs, and OCE player counts may not seem to justify the expense. However, we believe there are viable solutions that could work for both the community and Anvil Game Studios.
What We're Asking For:
We're calling on Anvil Game Studios to implement one of the following solutions:
Option 1: Re-establish Official OCE Servers Bring back official Holdfast servers to the Oceania region so we can play the game as intended with proper ping and the full multiplayer experience.
Option 2: Enable Full-Featured Community Servers If official servers aren't financially viable, allow the OCE community to run our own servers with full functionality – including achievements, order completion, and experience gain. Currently, community servers are limited in functionality, making them an inadequate substitute for the organized events we run multiple times per week.
Why This Matters:
OCE players paid the same price as everyone else for a multiplayer-focused game
We have an active community running line battles 3x weekly – we're not a dead region
High ping ruins core gameplay mechanics and the competitive experience
The OCE gaming community is strong, organized, and willing to support the game
Community-run servers with full features could reduce costs while maintaining player engagement
This sets a precedent for how multiplayer games treat smaller regional communities
Our community is already here, organized, and playing regularly. We just need the proper tools to play the game we paid for.
