Bring my dying father home
The Issue
My father is dying. He has been on hospice since January 14th 2022 when the heart dr gave him 6 months to live. He has had heart problems for 15 plus years. His health has been declining weekly since January. My father suffers from Hypertensive Heart Disease, Acute on Chronic Clinical Systolic Heart Failure, Ischemic Cardiomyopathy, Arteriosclerosis Heart Disease, Stage 3 severe COPD by gold classification, Respiratory insufficiency, Type 2 Diabetic (insulin dependent), decreased oxygen supply, high blood pressure and asthma. He was in some legal trouble prior to his health failing more. He was arrested in October of 2020 for dealing methamphetamines to an undercover officer. He was put on home detention in January when the dr told the judge he only gave him 6 months to live. He never failed a drug test for home detention the 5 months he was on it. He had court on Monday June 13th 2022. At his court hearing the judge revoked his bond and said he violated home detention and ordered him to be remanded to the Kosciusko county jail until his sentencing. He was sentenced on June 16th 2022 to 6 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections. The judge was told by the hospice director that my father had suffered a stroke on Thursday June 9th and that his health has declined a great deal in the last 3 weeks. The judge still felt comfortable to send my dying father to prison with everything he had been told. I feel it was because he was a conflict if interested to my dad as he was my dad's lawyer back in 2011 and failed to removed himself from my dad's case. He told my father in open court that he was going to prison to die alone. He is currently sitting the Kosciusko County Jail not being taken care of. He has stated to me that they are not giving him his heart medicine, anxiety medicine, his oxygen ( that hospice has had him on for 5 months), his nitros ( that stop his heart attacks), and they have removed hospice from taking care of him inside the jail. I am asking anyone who reads this to please find it in your heart to sign this petition and help me get my father release on a medical clemency so he can come home and pass with his family and not in a jail cell by himself. Nobody deserves to die alone no matter what they have done. Please help me get my dad home as he doesn't have long to live. Thank you all in advance.
