As of September 2024, the app Musi has been removed from the App Store. Musi claims that Apple's removal of the app was a breach of its own development agreement and violated the Apple Developer Program License Agreement. Musi says that Apple lacked a reasonable basis for believing that the app infringed on YouTube's intellectual property rights. 

Apple removed the app after YouTube sent a notice to Apple stating that the app violated its intellectual property rights. YouTube's terms of service prohibit developers from bypassing advertising, which Musi did by allowing users to play YouTube videos while serving Musi ads. However, Musi claims that it does not store, process, or transmit YouTube videos and that it uses its own interface to enhance the user experience.

Musi is seeking a preliminary and permanent injunction to reinstate the app to the App Store, as well as damages and prejudgment interest.
