We’re calling on local officials and parks departments to build more permanent pickleball courts in the Orchard Beach and Pelham Bay Park areas of the Bronx to support growing community interest, promote public health, and stimulate local tourism.

Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in America, offering a fun, low-impact, and social way for people of all ages to stay active. Yet despite the sport’s booming popularity, our neighborhood remains underserved.

Currently, Orchard Beach has only two permanent pickleball courts, and Pelham Bay Park has none. This is simply not enough to meet the demand from residents who want to enjoy this inclusive, accessible sport.

We are asking local officials and decision-makers to invest in the health and well-being of our community by building more permanent pickleball courts in both Orchard Beach and Pelham Bay Park.

Doing so will:

💵 Boost local tourism and economic activity in the Bronx.
