Bring Monk Back Home

Bring Monk Back Home
The Issue
Dear Orphan Angels,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you as a concerned member of the community regarding a distressing situation that has come to my attention involving the recent adoption of a cat named Monk/Disco from -your agency.
It has come to our knowledge that Monk, a beloved companion to Alex Kaliszewski, was adopted out without proper verification of ownership. Despite Monk having a dedicated and loving owner, it appears there was a grave misunderstanding during the adoption process, leading to Monk being separated from their rightful home.
Monk's owner is devastated by this development and has been actively searching for their beloved pet. You were promptly contacted by the owner when you posted him for adoption. We believe that Monk's adoption was a mistake, and we kindly request your immediate attention to rectify this situation.
We understand that errors can occur, but it is crucial to prioritize the well-being and happiness of the animals involved. Monk's owner is eager to be reunited with their feline companion, and it is in the best interest of both parties to facilitate a swift and amicable resolution. While you may believe you did what was in the best interest of Monk/Disco, it is hard to imagine that 3 weeks would allow you to determine that. You state that Monk had no desire to go outside while in his foster home, but yet if he was quarantined, as you require by fosters, did he have a chance to exhibit his desire to roam?
We all know indoor/outdoor cats are not ideal, but all rescuers likely know that if a cat wants to roam, they will. If you expect that of your adopters shouldn't you hold everyone accountable for these actions including those involved in these decisions who also let their pets outside? He was also neutered, and the owner ensured he didn't reproduce since he wanted to roam.
To address this matter, we, the undersigned, earnestly request the following:
-Confirm that Mink/Disco was indeed adopted. We can not prove that he has been as all proof of his existence has been deleted.
-Proof that you did do your due diligence in looking for an owner? Any added place like you have many times on Erie Animal Network when cats have been found?
-Any correspondence with the owner, Alex Kaliszewski, including all emails and time stamps of when she contacted you asking to get her cat back. You claim she did not try to come to get him but yet involved authorities, whom you lied to, and emailed you on several occasions to get him back.
-Proof of speaking with her veterinarian - if you say she was not fit to own her pet please prove you spoke to her veterinarian who would concur.
-A filed complaint with a cruelty department either ANNA or the Erie Humane Society. If she was not fit to own this pet, please show us the report filed against her proving so.
We believe that by taking swift and decisive action, your agency can rectify this unfortunate situation, bringing Monk back to their loving home and preventing such heart-wrenching incidents in the future.
We appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and look forward to a positive resolution for both Monk and their owner. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to the well-being of the animals under your care.
Sincerely,
